Company: Comptel
Brief: Take what was a largely unknown and timid industry-leader and give it a voice
Help its many divisions come together to “make a stand” and learn how to talk about and promote itself
Develop messages that convey the best aspects about the company and effectively and proactively counter claims by competitors
Create messages and a strategy that is in keeping with the new CEO’s aggressive marketing strategy
Activities: Research into competitors’ industry/press/analyst reputations, media coverage, message penetration, and public presence and profile
Two messaging sessions: one with a select number of pre-identified leaders; and, another with a larger representation of the company to gain their input and buy-in for the corporate values and messages based on the company’s solution advantages, robustness, and customer relationships
Results: Development of a messaging report that was used to guide all future strategy and content for marketing activities and media interviews
